Dynaco A25s, and PSB 40MKIIs. $240 for all of them, so I can easily profit on the Dynacos if I want. The PSBs may replace my Realistics as my computer/kitchen speakers.

Wish I was allowed to have such speakers in the kitchen, I have to make do with a (surprisingly full and rich sounding) Microlab FC330 2.1 system, this one (in a sale at Maplin about 7 years at 20 quid!)

I’ve just gotten lucky, I come home most days to my girlfriend playing music at least as loud as I usually play it

You’ve lucked out there, though tbh I don’t get moaned out (very often) for having my music on loud and I don’t go mad with the volume, well too mad.............

I know that problem all too well. I’ve been trying to cut back on my speaker acquisitions lately, even taking some our of my cart, especially when I couldn’t find the matching speaker.
I did find a pair of Minimus 7Ws the other day, but those went back. There was a Denon something, but couldn’t find a matching one. I did find a Bose iPod dock, but it didn’t have to power supply and I know I don’t have anything that would fire it up.
The one speaker that I did grab was a Polk desktop speaker, model number unknown at this time. One of the ones I have at home has a blown tweeter and I’m hoping to harvest this one for parts. I love the sound of these Polks and look forward to getting the pair fully operational again. I bought the pair years ago for $20 because one was missing a grille. Rather than find another grille I just removed the one that was there and had a matched set.

I haven’t tried them since getting them home, but I did audition them at the sellers house and they were quite nice. A bit more constrained and less sophisticated sounding than the PSBs, and less bass response. Still a very pleasant speaker, j can see them sounding lovely with the Dynaco ST-70. The seller was running them with a McIntosh 275, which was excellent with them.

Toob amps! Very lovely. I’ve finally got a new Denon DP-300F turntable hooked up to my new Yamaha A-S801 amp blasting through some old Cerwin-Vega VS-120's. Miles Davis Kind of Blue is quite nice through this solid state chain, but I do dream of tubes.....
